Martin Thomas was born on the 28th November 1959 in Senghenydd, South Wales, he left scholl at 16 to become an apprentice Professional goalkeeper with Bristol Rovers and later played for both Newcastle United and Birmingham City. he also played for Wales at every level of the game and when he finished playing he became a freelance goalkeeping coach. In 1998 he joined the Football Association and has coached at every level of International Football. He is still employed in this role today and was coach to the British Olynpic 2012 Football team. Professional Football has been his life and this is his 36 year journey. Proceeds of this book will go to the Senghenydd Disaster Memorial Fund.
